Alzheimer's Disease
Alzheimer's disease is a degenerative brain
disease which slowly progresses to a frightening disease. It
changes ones personality, and creates a loss of judgment. Some of
the first symptoms are loss of memory, other cognitive deficits, and
disorientation. Forgetting names of family members, not able
to do simple tasks, wondering off, may become violent, fearful, mood
and personality changes, and may have trouble expressing themselves.
Things progressively get worse, until towards the end there is a
total loss of self, and inability to control bodily functions.
