Replenishing
yin essence, clearing away heat, purging fire, moistening
the viscera. This formula is traditionally
used for lower back pain, urinary difficulty, hot
flashes, dripping urine, menopause and diminished
hearing.
Women in their late 40s and older
are usually those who experience the clear and
evident symptoms of the onset of this female phase
of life. Zhi Bai Di Huang
wan is frequently given to menopausal women who are
suffering from hot flashes and night sweats. It also
contains herbs that help dispel heat and dampness
such as Phellododen bark which according to
traditional use may reduce edema and swelling as
well. The ingredients in Zhi Bai di Huang wan
address conditions connected with deficient liver
and kidney Yin. This formula may also be suggested
to someone who is fearful, frightened, emotional,
insomnia and irritability.

Contraindicated
during the early stages of acute illness such as
cold and flu, or during an acute infection. Use with
