Oregon grape is considered an excellent blood purifier. It
also is an anti-inflammatory and a bitter and stimulates the production of
hydrochloric acid in the stomach. It's good for the liver, bile secretions,
digestive secretions, spleen and lymphatics.
Oregon grape can be substituted for goldenseal.
Oregon grape releases stored iron into the bloodstream to maintain
good circulation and a healthy immune system which in turn is good for the
liver. This helps in the treatment of anemia. Pure blood is the best
protection from disease.
Oregon grape stimulates the liver and gallbladder. It helps overcome constipation.
Unlike any other herb known, Oregon grape has a direct
effect on the skin. It has been used to restore the complexion of the skin
after an illness that may have dried it out or produced sores. |
