Zhong Gan Ling: This traditional Chinese medicine
is selected for more severe conditions such as quick onset of high
fevers with sore throats and coughing, swollen lymph nodes, aching
limbs and headaches. This formula is used during the flu, not as a
preventive formula. Formulas to use at the onset of the flu
are Yin Chiao or Gan Mao Ling. Huo Xiang Zheng Qi Wan:
Primarily prescribed for stomach flus with digestive difficulties of
diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, flatulence, nausea and for
chills, fever and headaches.
Zhong gan ling is for the deeper level(s) with fever, like yang ming
in TCM terms.
Zhong Gan Ling is a Chinese herbal formula used for severe common
cold or flu, with fever from wind heat. Isatis and oldenlandia
have been added to this formula to augment its ability to clear heat
toxins. When SARS,
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome was spreading in 2003, Zhong Gan
Ling was one of the main formulas which was used.

Australian TGA GMP factory and laboratory tested for contaminants. |
| 6 |
After the formulas are made
into pills, each batch is inspected for consistent shape, color, and
texture. Pills that fail this test are destroyed. The moisture content
and dissolution rate are also tested; to ensure the
full dosage is take. |
